One of my customers emailed me saying that I was in the Ottawa Citizen last week! Little article but YAY!

This is the wheelchair accessible bathroom I designed. I’m pretty proud of it, lots of subtle colours, nothing too crazy but I think it turned out beautifully. It was for a retired naval officer who was amazing to work with. This is the reason why I continue to do what I do. I love the feeling of seeing something I designed on paper come to life for someone to enjoy everyday.
There’s going to be an article in the Ottawa Citizen at the end of April, probably the last weekend. I got interviewed by a writer and so did my client. My boss wants to promote me as a designer for clients needing accessible kitchens or bathrooms. It’s amazing and I’ll probably get a lot of business from it, but it’s also a lot of work. I know it will be worth it in the end but I just need time to breathe as well.
Time to start building my portfolio and website, I keep delaying that.

Something is wrong with my eye. I woke up this morning thinking my contact was still in there, but it apparently isn’t. The doctor at the walk in clinic put some drops in my eye which turned one of them green. I had a mini panic attack because he didn’t tell me about this side effect. It did turn blue again after a few hours.
Now I’m home and I still can’t stop crying out of my right eye, it’s so fucking irritated, I don’t know what to do.
